At Times, The Trees Turn Totally Terrific

INDIANA
, United States --By all indications, Mother Nature recently staged another impressive annual art show across much of the northern hemisphere. She’s a master at painting trees in extra-vivid colors. In many places, her favorite colors appear to be orange, yellow and red.

In the American state of Indiana, just south of Lake Michigan, Donna Wood Breeden, a special correspondent for Cairns Media Magazine, considers Mother Nature’s artwork much too spectacular to ignore. “I love the colors of autumn,” she said, while collecting images of the most magnificent trees.

As the weather cools in snowy climates, the green leaves of summer turn red, yellow, orange or even purple. Eventually, the multi-hued foliage falls to the ground and may need raking up in backyards. Finally, snow falls and Mother Nature switches to another seasonal color preference – that of winter white.

In some areas, including along the northern shore of Lake Superior (near Sault Ste. Marie, Canada), the autumn tree colors attract busloads of tourists keen to see the spectacular sights. Judging by Donna’s photos, maybe more tour groups should explore Indiana.
