Warren Zevon Sleeps, But Songs Still Please
We, the Northumberland Hammerheads band, celebrated the music of Warren Zevon on April 28th with an afternoon event at Back Alley Music on University Avenue in Charlottetown. There were information sessions, video presentations, performances by Island musicians and a jam session.

Two albums, The Envoy and Stand in the Fire, are re-released, along with Excitable Boy. All are re-mastered and have bonus tracks. The long-awaited biography, I’ll Sleep When I'm Dead, The Dirty Life and Times of Warren Zevon, is coming, along with Preludes, a two-disc set of early unreleased recordings.

Zevon fans and those unfamiliar with his work had an opportunity to learn about one of the greatest songwriters of the 20th century.
