It’s time for the United States to do what it must to get out of Iraq. The focus has changed so often that I doubt if the Americans even know who they’re fighting.
President Bush lied from the beginning. He’s a warlord in every sense, one with a powerful country and threatening toys.
As Americans, we should take time to consider what we’re doing. Europe’s full of immigrants, and I’m asked often which country is the world’s best place to live. At least here, I don’t need to fear being shot outside a grocery store. The U.S. has huge potential, but it’s slipping greatly.
For the first time in years, I plan to vote – for Hillary Clinton because she wants the U.S. out of Iraq. Then the Iraqis will fight over their own issues, but this is sure to happen at some point. The U.S. can’t halt centuries of conflict.
What will it take to get the Americans to go home and focus on their own problems?
