Tuning Up, Tuning In
On February 10th, Music Prince Edward Island presents an ECMA Bound show at The Guild in Charlottetown. It stars nominees and showcase performers warming up for the 2007 East Coast Music Association (ECMA) Awards in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the following weekend.

The Blueprints, nominated in the blues category, and Tim Chaisson with his band will appear, as will Ian Toms, nominated for a jazz award, and Catherine MacLellan, who holds two nominations. Pat Deighan and the Orb Weavers, plus Out From Under, round out the lineup.

“It’s fun to play a show like this to help create awareness of the different nominees and showcase artists,” Toms says.

After the ECMAs, MacLellan will be on the road for a short tour of Ontario with Tanya Davis from March 1-10. She’ll play at the Loyalist Folk Festival in Saint John, New Brunswick, in late March.

Admission to the ECMA Bound show costs Cdn $5. The music starts at 10 p.m.
