| About 80 dogs, including volunteers for Animals Asia’s ambassador-dog programs – Dr Dog and Professor Paws – and disciplinary-service dogs, will share the limelight at the Dog Devotion Awards on Sunday, February 24, in Hong Kong.
Marnie Yau, manager of the Dr Dog program, says the awards recognize the wonderful community work by our best friends (and their owners).
The award-winners include “civilian” cross-breed Fok Chai, who alerted his owner that her refrigerator had a dangerous electrical fault, and Sasha, a Labrador retriever who toils tirelessly at fire scenes with the Fire Services Department.
