You can meet artist Eunice Cheung on January 14 (7 to 9 p.m.) at the opening reception for her Chinese-paintings exhibition, Man in Beijing. The exhibition runs until February 5 at Hong Kong’s Culture Club Gallery.
Cheung, winner of the 2009 Madam Jan Yun Bor Memorial Award, pursued Chinese-painting last summer at the Beijing Fine Art Academy. This exhibition focuses on her experiences in Beijing.
Now Cheung studies art at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. A nature lover, she sees environmental protection as increasingly important and wishes to use Chinese gongbi (fine-brush) painting to share her ideas about protecting animals and the environment.
