Take a Jazzy First Taste |
Fresh Jazz is the name given to a program that gives young Prince Edward Island musicians their first taste of professional jazz performance. It’s a feeder program for the successful City Stages program that produces seasoned jazz players.
The likes of the Olde Abbie Band, Charlottetown Jazz Ensemble and Colonel Gray Senior Jazz will perform at a Fresh Jazz concert on Friday, June 8, in the Colonel Gray Lecture Theatre. This informal affair allows musicians from various backgrounds to come together and play for enjoyment.
Seasoned pros and young recruits will perform with the admission proceeds going to support the Fresh Jazz program.
