Successful Aging Topic For Debate

The Sau Po Centre on Aging will conduct a 10th anniversary seminar titled, Successful Aging in Chinese Communities, the Asian Perspective. Its founding director, Professor Iris Chi, will speak at the seminar in Hong Kong.

Other notable speakers from China, Taiwan and Canada will share their views, research and studies about successful aging in Chinese communities. They include:
-- Professor Kai-ti Zhang, director of the China Research Center on Aging;
-- Professor Yuan-wen Ku, head of the department of social work, National Taiwan University; and
-- Professor Daniel W.L. Lai, associate dean in the faculty of social work, University of Calgary.

The seminar, to be conducted in Putonghua and Cantonese, is scheduled for 2-5 p.m. on December 11 in the Meng Wah Complex at Hong Kong University.
