Song-Slinger Travels Every Hockey-Town

Country singer/songwriter Tim Hus comes at his audience like a runaway rig while firing off image-bound lyrics with the marksmanship of a western gunslinger. He makes you pay attention with story-songs about the pioneering spirit of truck drivers, miners, rum runners, trappers, men of the land, men of the sea and vagabonds. He's from Alberta, takes Canadian history seriously and hits the mark in Hockeytown, his latest album for Stony Plain Records.

Like many Canadian storytellers and songwriters, Hus accepts long-haul tour dates. “I am willing to play everywhere and anywhere. One day we may do an arena show with Corb Lund and the next day we may play in someone's backyard,” he says.

Tim and fiddler Billy MacInnis will perform at the Harmony House Theatre on October 7 at 8 p.m.
