Shovels Stab Soil For the Sake of Research
To tie in with Hong Kong University’s strategic development and to meet the increasing demand for research facilities and space, the Human Research Institute (HRI) will be built at our Sassoon Road campus. In recognition of a donation by the Hong Kong Jockey Club, the HRI (Phase 1) Building will be named the Hong Kong Jockey Club Building for Interdisciplinary Research.

Journalists are invited to cover the groundbreaking ceremony starting at 11 a.m. on October 14 at 5-7 Sassoon Road, Pokfulam. The officiating guests will include:
-- Professor Lap-Chee Tsui, vice-chancellor, HKU
-- John C.C. Chan, chairman, Hong Kong Jockey Club
-- Jack So, chairman, campus development and planning committee, HKU.
