At an international conference on Emerging China-India Cross-Cultural Interactions and Their Implications for Asia, scholars focusing on Sino-Indian studies will seek to understand how China and India – their states, elites, academics and societies – perceive each other.
Former Indian foreign secretary (1995-97) and ambassador to China (1991-94) Salman Haidar will deliver a keynote speech. The full-day conference, in English, takes place on September 3 in the Tang Chi Ngong Building at the University of Hong Kong.
