Rural Riches Hit Town
Farm Day in the City happens on Sunday, October 5. City-dwellers are invited to downtown Charlottetown, Canada, to taste the immense bounty from rural Prince Edward Island.

Chef Michael Smith, a local food hero, will prepare and serve piping hot potatoes with special sauces. Beef, pork, chicken, lamb and veggies will be grilled and served in a huge BBQ. There’ll be a big farmers' market, live music, kids’ interactive activities, a pumpkin fair, freshly pressed apple cider and food-bank fundraisers.

Farm Day in the City will feature Island entertainers. Shows on the multiple stages will be staggered so they don’t compete. The musicians may be acoustic, mobile and in varied styles (country, rock, pop, bluegrass).
