Ruby Dog Dances Too
Great story on Lai See and the Tropicana Juices and Snacks Shop (Dancing in Delight: Little Dog Quick-Steps to Her Favorite Shop)!

Lai See’s sister, Ruby, whom we adopted at about the same time, does exactly the same high-five dance at home. But unlike Lai See, she cannot visit around the village of Yung Shue Wan at leisure because once she gets off the lead she runs like a greyhound. If we lose sight of her, that’s it. Ruby doesn’t want to run away from home. She just wants to run, and enjoys the chase so much.

Many times, I’ve had to charge through the village in clothing only fit for one’s yard. Ruby’s managed to lose me sometimes and then turned up in Tai Shan where she and Lai See used to live together at the Lamma Animal Protection charity.

On the odd occasions when Ruby and Lai See meet in the village, they’re friendly and happy to see each other.
