Riley Career Recalled
A memorial concert to celebrate the life and music of Doug Riley is scheduled for December 11 at 7 p.m. on the main stage of the Confederation Centre of the Arts in Charlottetown, Canada.

Originally from Toronto, Riley called Prince Edward Island his home. A pillar of the musical community, he died unexpectedly in Calgary while returning from a jazz festival. A composer, arranger, pianist, organist and record producer, he worked with talented and prolific players in the classical, jazz and commercial genres.

The memorial concert will feature: Ben Riley, Doug Mallory, Brett Ryan, Danny B, Jamie Gatti, Chris Mitchell, Mark Haines, Roy Johnstone, Joey Kitson, Terry Hatty, Field Trip, The PEI Jazz Band and Michael Burgess. It’ll be a night to remember.

Tickets, costing Cdn $30 or $40 ($20 for students), sell at the Confederation Centre box office and on the Centre’s Website. The proceeds will support scholarships at the University of Prince Edward Island.
