Refreshing Pepsi Puppy
In Kola, the dog (Mild-Mannered Snake Chaser Pays the Price), we lost a prized companion. The good news is that Pepsi, her puppy, does yeoman’s service in filling the large gap. Her antics and constant demands for attention prevent us from lingering too long in grief over Kola. Pepsi needs extra TLC since she lost her mother, and we need Pepsi to help put smiles back on our faces and heal the wounds. Together, we’re curing each other. It helps us to see a lot of Kola’s looks and mannerisms in Pepsi.

The Thais have an old belief that truly good dogs will have trouble to reproduce, but if they finally do have pups, that’s a sign that their end is near. We tried not to ponder this when after years of never conceiving, Kola finally produced two pups, one of which died in a difficult birth. Within two months, Kola herself had gone.

The puppy Pepsi needs TLC, but gives it too.
