We're excited that Her Royal Highness, Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands, will join us at the Hong Kong International Young Readers Festival from March 5-18.
As UNESCO's special envoy on literacy development and a founder of the Missing Chapter Foundation, she champions literacy and sustainability. At the festival, youngsters will hear her discuss her latest book, Mr Finney and the Other Side of the Water, about climate change, rising sea levels, human consequences and damage to coral.
Along with Eoin Colfer, Christopher Cheng, Dianne Wolfer and Sally Kindberg, other authors at the festival will include Adeline Foo, Eliza Teoh, Peter Brown and Sarah Brennan.
Highlights include: workshops for students and teachers; in-school programs (subject to author availability and minimum requirements); a schools-program subsidy; and complimentary tickets for accompanying teachers.
