| Michael R. LeBlanc, the new morning-show director and music programmer at CBC Radio in Moncton, New Brunswick, says he’s always looking for ways to play Atlantic Canadian music on air.
LeBlanc has returned to CBC Radio after several years of working on TV documentaries. Some people may remember him as a programmer on the former CBC Mainstreet show from Moncton and as a co-writer of several ECMA award shows on CBC TV. He’s also a musician.
“Some of the more established artists get distribution across the CBC by sending a full package to Toronto. But I’m concerned that some musicians lacking that national distribution may miss an opportunity for exposure on CBC Moncton,” he says. The station broadcasts to the eastern half of New Brunswick from Campbellton to Sackville.
