Wow! There were 140 entries in the Rabbit Poem Competition on my Funny and Fabulous Blog from 18 schools in Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and India. There was every kind of poem: acrostics, haiku, free verse, rhyming verse and even some great limericks.
So many different types of rabbits were immortalized in verse. There were cute, cuddly and fluffy bunnies, but also wild, wicked and insane rabbits, alien bunnies, super bunnies, Bolivian bunnies, Easter bunnies, man-eating bunnies, spy rabbits and jive bunnies.
Congratulations to the clever poets, especially to Kristen Kwan of Kowloon Junior School (winner of the ages 4-7 years section) and Jason Spaeth of TASIS England (winner of the ages 8-11 years section). Go to my blog at www.sarahbrennanblog.wordpress.com to see the winning entries.
Remember that reading books makes you happy, healthy, wealthy and wise. So keep reading books.
