Quebec Quartet Extends Its Reach

La Belle-Alliance presents the musical group Tocadéo at the Harbourfront Theatre in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada, at 7:30 p.m. on August 1.

The name Tocadéo comes from “tocade” meaning passion and desire, reflecting the ability heard on this Quebec quartet's first album (self-entitled). The group stars René Lajoie, Dany Laliberté, Benoit Miron and Patrick Olafson. At shows, their voices blend in harmonies full of nuances and emotions.

Inspired by the best voices in music, Tocadéo never fails to impress. The group is guided by Guy St-Onge, an orchestra director and composer who has worked with David Bowie and Céline Dion. Its repertoire features French, English and Italian songs.
