Recently I finished reading the book, Shadow of Doubt, Probing the Supreme Court by journalist Marites Vitug from the Philippines. I found it interesting because I know the milieu, but I see where readers less familiar with the Philippines and its Supreme Court might find the book tedious and confusing. It needed some tight editing and more detailed explanations of the cases and characters involved in the chronicle, which was admirable in itself.
