| Film director Vincent Chui will hold a talk at HKU to share his insights on the representations of law and politics in the Hong Kong cinema. His film, Leaving in Sorrow (2001), will screen as part of the event, scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. on October 2 in the main library at Hong Kong University.
The university’s Dr Gina Marchetti (comparative literature) and Dr Marco Wan (law) will act as moderators. The discussion will be in English.
Chui’s remarks will come a day after Ang Lee, an Academy Award-winning director originally from Taiwan, also delivers a talk at HKU.
