The Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League have signed non-import kicker/punter Chris Bodnar.

For the last two seasons, Bodnar played for the University of Regina Rams. In 2011, he signed with the Edmonton Eskimos, but was released and returned to the Rams for a stellar season. In seven games, he had 66 punts for 2,944 yards and a leading 44.6-yard average. He became a first-team All-Canadian.

Earlier, Bodnar played for the Saskatoon Hilltops where he was named an All-Canadian in 2009 and 2008. For two years previously, he played football and basketball for the University of Saskatchewan.
