| The East Coast Music Association recently announced its 2008 award nominees. Leading the list with seven ECMA nominations is the Joel Plaskett Emergency.
With four nominations each, Nathan Wiley and the Chucky Danger Band lead the competing Prince Edward Islanders. Two Hours Traffic is nominated for three awards while Jenn Grant, Rose Cousins and Vishten each have two nominations. Battery Point, Cynthia MacLeod, Gordon Belsher, Janet McGarry, the Saddle River String Band and Timothy Chaisson have single nominations.
