| Two lectures by Shaw Laureates in Mathematical Sciences 2009 are scheduled at Hong Kong University. They are Loops, Surfaces and the Structure of Three- and Four-Dimensional Spaces by Professor Clifford Taubes from Harvard University; and Old Themes and New Directions in Mathematical Aspects of Yang-Mills Theory by Professor Simon Donaldson from Imperial College in London. The two men will speak from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on October 9 in the Rayson Huang Theatre.
