Hong Kong's Culture Club Gallery will screen a story about the legendary graffiti artist Banksy at 8 p.m. on October 12.
Exit Through The Gift Shop is a brilliant movie about the underground street-art culture and a man's increasing obsession with it. Styled as a documentary, the film tells of Thierry Guetta, a French immigrant in Los Angeles. It covers his constant documenting of his every moment on film and his coverage of street artists. Banksy's face never appears and his voice is distorted for anonymity. In fact, Banksy also has a cameo role as a passerby, commenting on his own work.
No one sounds sure if Guetta may be mentally unstable or one of the greatest French minds for decades. What everyone knows is that he's a man with passion and his heart in the right place.
