| Recently, the European Parliament awarded its Sakahrov Prize for Freedom of Thought to the imprisoned Chinese human rights activist Hu Jia. Hong Kong’s pan-democratic legislative councilors welcome this development and will send a letter to Chinese president Hu Jintao, urging Beijing to release the award-winner. We’ll deliver the letter to Hong Kong chief executive Donald Tsang and ask him to forward it to the national president.
