On July 10, Bill Moyers used his television show to expose for the first time the health insurance industry’s secret campaign against me and my 2007 movie, Sicko.
Bill’s show had a stunning revelation and admission by Wendell Potter, a former head of publicity at CIGNA, a leading health-insurance company, that the disinformation and attacks on me and the movie were extensive and well-planned. Their job was to stop the movie from reaching a wide audience and having political impact.
Potter even admits that Sicko “hit the nail on the head”. It told the real truth about how much better people have it on health care in other countries.
