| Many Koreans believe that eating dog meat will alleviate the summer heat and increase men’s sexual prowess.
The South Korean government has yet to ban the slaughter and consumption of companion animals. While the eating of dogs and cats continues, so does cruelty to such animals.
Therefore, the government must pass a law to prohibit the slaughter of dogs and cats for meat. Let’s continue to pressure the South Korean government about blatant animal abuse there.
