Hoops League Takes Aim at Breast Cancer

The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce its “Cure on the Court” initiative that tips-off this month.

“We are proud to launch ‘Cure on the Court’ in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation,” said league commissioner John Kennedy. “Breast cancer touches the lives of so many. By raising funds and generating awareness, we will do our part for a future without breast cancer.”

Each team has designated one home game to support the cause. These games will have a pink presence and fundraising activities. Proceeds go to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation for important work with researchers and clinicians seeking progress in prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care.

The “Cure on the Court” games are as follows: Quebec Kebs on January 15, London Lightning on January 19, Summerside Storm on January 20, Halifax Rainmen on January 27, Oshawa Power on February 1, Saint John Mill Rats on February 9 and Moncton Miracles on February 14.
