The National Basketball League of Canada has announced that its inaugural all-star weekend is set for Halifax. “It will be a fan-focused, entertaining time to showcase the league's incredible talent,” said commissioner John Kennedy.
“The support that Nova Scotia gives us has been tremendous,” said Halifax Rainmen team-president Andre Levingston. “That support is what proved that professional basketball was possible in Canada. I can't imagine a more suitable place for NBL Canada's inaugural all-star weekend.”
The event is scheduled for the last weekend in March. Rogers Communications Inc. will participate as a title sponsor. A schedule of events will appear soon.
