Speaking of classic movies, An Autumn's Tale is a 1987 Hong Kong-made romantic drama set in New York and starring Chow Yun-fat, Cherie Chung and Danny Chan. It won Hong Kong Film Awards for best film, best cinematographer and best screenplay and appears 49th on the Hong Kong Film Awards' Best 100 Chinese Films of the 20th Century.
A character named Jennifer travels to New York to study with her boyfriend, Vincent. At the airport Samuel Pang meets her. When delivering Jennifer to her room. Pang leaves with the advice to stamp on the floor if she needs anything since he lives downstairs. The next day, Jennifer awakens Pang to show her how to take a train to meet Vincent....
Hong Kong's Culture Club Gallery will screen this movie starting at 8 p.m. on August 23. It will be in Cantonese with English subtitles.
