Headed to Halifax
We’re going to Halifax, Nova Scotia, for the East Coast Music Association (ECMA) Awards this weekend. The gala awards celebration will be televised nationally on Sunday, February 18.

In Halifax, we’ll perform several times.

Friday: 10 p.m. at The Mercury Club on the corner of Argyle and Sackville streets. This is an ECMA showcase sponsored by Music PEI. Also on the bill are Elmer Deagle (fiddle and mandolin star), Catherine MacLellan (a sweetheart with an incredible songwriting gift), Richard Wood (world-class fiddler), Ian Toms (incredible jazz) and Vishten (young, vibrant and Celtic/Acadian).

Saturday: 11 p.m. at The French Quarter on Market Street. This is a “no-case” set up by our fellow blues nominee Eileen Joyce. We’ll do a set. Eileen and her band will play for the rest of the evening.

Sunday (actually late Saturday night): 12:30 a.m. at Hell’s Kitchen in the Marquis Club on Barrington Street. This “no-case” with many of PEI’s indie musicians is sponsored by the Island Media Co-op.
