HKU Students Meet Business Challenge

Team "Starlight", four students from the University of Hong Kong, won the Hong Kong regional final of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) Global Business Challenge recently.

Mentored by Ada Wong of HKU's faculty of business and economics, the four students emerged from more than 150 participating teams. The CIMA Global Business Challenge is an international business-management competition for university undergraduates aimed at developing future business leaders. Each team assesses, reports and presents a CIMA case study.

The winning team's analytical abilities and presentation skills impressed the judges. Team Starlight will represent Hong Kong at the Global Final in Malaysia on August 5-6. Other teams will represent Britain, Ireland, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, India, China, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, South Africa, the UAE and Australia.
