| The Hong Kong University Libraries Used Book Sale is scheduled on October 10-11. The Chinese and English books on sale are duplicates donated by supporters or copies withdrawn from the library collection. They’re priced at HK$20 and up. There’s even a selection of fiction for leisure reading.
Such sales, on a first-come-first-served basis, not only promote reading by providing the public with books at good prices, but also fully utilize the materials. Proceeds support the purchase of new books, library materials, programs and services.
In support of “going green”, no plastic bags will be provided. A specially designed recyclable bag will be available at HK$10. The sale happens on the 4th floor in the HKU Main Library Old Wing.
