| Music PEI’s first-ever funding deadline looms. For Prince Edward Island musicians and bands, the final day for submitting a funding proposal will be January 28.
Program guidelines, application packages and assorted forms are available online at the Music PEI website (www.musicpei.com). There’s a targeted demo program, an emerging-music support initiative and an export-development support effort.
Funding comes from the provincial government with Music PEI administering the programs. Independent and anonymous assessment panels with at least three industry professionals will evaluate, assess and award the funding based on merits and need. Amounts will be subject to the resources available.
