Film Images Still Steadily Becoming
My photography exhibition, titled Becoming…, continues until October 31 at the Culture Club Gallery in Hong Kong’s Central District. The title refers to the transformation from one state to another, whether mental or physical.

All images in the exhibition were scanned in high-resolution from medium-format negatives or slides. Each image is limited to a run of 10 pieces, signed and numbered on the reverse.

As for me, I’ve described myself as a Japanese soul trapped in a Canadian body living in Hong Kong. My art is expressed through the use of film and camera. Although it may be purely psychological, I believe film still has an unmatched aesthetic.

I specialize in portrait, street and fine-art photography. In street photography, I try to capture people as naturally as possible, especially their interactions with each other and the environment.
