Our Christmas wishes may, or may not, come true, but it's a season for joyous celebration so let's celebrate the good things that have come our way.

If your Christmas wish is to be a millionaire, that's a little tough for us to satisfy. But we can to bring you the author behind the award-winning movie, Slumdog Millionaire.

In early January, the Hong Kong International Literary Festival will present Vikas Swarup (full details soon). He wrote the debut novel, Q&A, a bestseller that led to the movie Slumdog Millionaire. He's also a career diplomat who served in Turkey, the United States, Ethiopia, Britain and South Africa. Now he's India's consul-general in Osaka-Kobe, Japan.
