International success for the book Three Cups of Tea widened with publication of a young readers' edition (Puffin). The adult-trade paperback edition appeared high on The New York Times paperback nonfiction list. What great universal appeal this story has for all ages!

Co-author Greg Mortenson and daughter Amira started a national tour for the Three Cups of Tea Young Readers Edition with an appearance on The Today Show and a packed event at Barnes and Noble. Greg later addressed crowds of 800-1,000 people in Dayton, Ann Arbor, Detroit, Chicago, Miami and Atlanta. Fans bought multiple copies.

Rabbi Bookman at Miami's Temple Beth Am Synagogue, which hosted an event, summed up the spirit of Greg's work by saying how amazing it was to have a Christian speaking in a Jewish synagogue to raise money for Muslim children.
