| The East Coast Music Association (ECMA) is pleased to announce that Fredericton, New Brunswick, will host the 2008 ECMA Awards, Festival and Conference from February 7-10.
Our 2008 event will encompass the city, taking in venues like the Aitken Centre, UNB Campus, the downtown core of the Tannery District and more.
The ECMAs in Fredericton feature the return of Showcase stages: the Rock Showcase, the Roots Room, the Rising Star Showcase, the Songwriter’s Circle and others. A revamped Soundwaves Youth Program will link artists to the host community through performances in schools and community venues starting weeks in advance.
The ECMA presents awards in three categories: music, industry and honorary. East Coast musicians who released recordings from June 1, 2006, to October 15, 2007, are eligible. More details appear at www.ecma.com.
