More than 100 people and their dogs will join the Animals Asia Foundation’s annual “Walk for Harmony” in Hong Kong’s Happy Valley area on February 28. The idea is to demonstrate that dogs are friends and helpers who deserve respect. The walk also helps to raise funds for the AAF’s work to end the cruelty suffered by so many dogs (and cats) in Asia.
AAF founder Jill Robinson will participate with her dog, Eddie. Initially rescued from a meat market in southern China, Eddie works as a therapist in the AAF’s Doctor Dog program.
On Sunday, registration for the walk begins at 8:30 a.m. The main venue will be Wong Nai Chung Road (around the racecourse). Walkers will leave from the racecourse’s main entrance. The entire event will be completed by 11 a.m.
