At the 2007 Prince Edward Island Music Awards, we won for the jazz and blues album of the year! The gala awards show happened on November 10 at the Confederation Centre of the Arts in Charlottetown, PEI. Thanks to everyone who voted for us. The show and after-party were a blast!
In other news, we opened recently for the blues legends Buddy Guy and James Cotton at the Dutch Mason Blues Festival in Truro, Nova Scotia. We had a great time, and the festival was totally awesome.
On another memorable day, we opened for Morgan Davis and the Downchild Blues Band at the 3rd annual PEI Jazz and Blues Festival. We also played at the Shediac Blues and Barbeque Festival in New Brunswick.
Less happily, we became the last band to play at the Bourbon's House of Blues in Charlottetown. We understand the management’s looking for a new location. What a bitter-sweet night! Although it marked an ending, we had an incredible turnout and played late.
