Author Sarah Blake has won South Africa's prestigious 2010 Boeke Readers' Choice Prize for The Postmistress (2010, Amy Einhorn Books/Putnam, 336 pages). The Boeke Prize is modeled after Britain's Man Booker Prize and sponsored by Exclusive Books, South Africa's largest bookstore chain.

The award culminates a six-week competition in which Exclusive Books Fanatics members are asked to read the six finalist books and then vote for a favorite. For the second straight year, the award goes to an Amy Einhorn/Putnam book. In 2009, Kathryn Stockett won for The Help.
