| A Pulitzer Prize Committee has awarded the 2008 award for national-affairs reporting to Penguin Press author Barton Gellman and Washington Post journalist Jo Becker. The award is for their “lucid exploration of the vice-president, Dick Cheney, and his powerful, yet sometimes disguised, influence on national policy”.
This fall, Gellman delves deeper with a news-breaking investigation into how Cheney redefined the vice-president’s role, assuming unprecedented duties and powers. The Penguin Press publishes Gellman’s book, Angler: the Cheney Vice Presidency, in September.
