After 100 Years, Team Earns a Coin

In celebration of the Saskatchewan Roughriders football club's 100th anniversary, the Royal Canadian Mint has joined the team and federal-government representatives to officially unveil a new commemorative Canadian $1 coin honoring this legendary team and its generations of loyal fans.

The coin entered general circulation on September 2 after a public unveiling at Regina's Northgate Mall. The Mint is delighted to give the many supporters of the Rider Nation a unique way to celebrate their team's centennial and the great traditions of Canadian football.
